The ED Musos

The ED Musos (Emergency Department Musicians) are a group of health care workers from Emergency Departments (EDs) in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, the United Kingdom and elsewhere. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we turned to making virtual music together to lighten our moods, connect with others and to give us the strength to show up to work each day. As lockdowns lifted, the group transitioned to in-person performance at healthcare conferences and events.

You can find the ED Musos virtual productions on You Tube and a range of videos are also available on the Music page of this website.

Please join us

The ED Musos are always on the look out for new members.

Anyone who works in an Emergency Department, in any role (nursing, medical, allied health, clerical etc), or anyone who supports someone who works in an Emergency Department, as a colleague, friend, or family member, is welcome.

The ED Musos ethos is fun and inclusive. No talent or skill is necessary, just enthusiasm. Singers of any level, part or experience can join the group. Instrumental players need to be able to read music and play in tune. We perform very well-known songs and there is always an option to sing the melody for those who don’t read music.

The ED Musos are currently meeting up every 4-6 weeks in the northern suburbs of Sydney for a social sing and play together. We are working towards a performance at RNSH on Wednesday 9th December 2026 at 10.30am. There will be an optional rehearsal on Sunday 6th December from 10-12am and a run-through for the whole group at RNSH for the hour before the gig.
